Kangaroo Valley and around
Kangaroo Valley is a spectacular place, totally enclosed by high cliffs. The wide green floor is home to dairy farms, historic buildings and private retreats.
The forested slopes lead down to the Kangaroo River, crossed in the village by a castellated, sandstone bridge.
The village has most of the usual facilities including some good cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries and a pub. Outside the village, nature supplies the entertainment with short or long walking tracks, a canoeable river and great scenery.
Seven Mile Beach National Park is only half an hours drive away via Berry. The marine park of Jervis Bay / Booderee National Park is 45 minutes drive via Nowra.
Little Pig Creek
Little Pig Creek is easy to find and a little over 2 hours from Sydney and Canberra. Kangaroo Valley is close to several national parks and beaches.
From Sydney Little Pig Creek is a little over 2 hours drive south on the Princes Highway. Just through Berry turn right and follow the signs to Kangaroo Valley over Berry Mountain (approx. 18km) At the âTâ junction with Moss Vale Road turn right towards Kangaroo Valley. Little Pig Creek is 1k past this junction, on the left.
If travelling on the Hume Highway south of Sydney turn off at Mittagong/Bowral. Follow the signs to Fitzroy Falls, Kangaroo Valley and Nowra. Little Pig Creek is 2k on the other side of the village on the right.
Little Pig Creek is about 2 1/4 hours from Canberra. Take the Hume Highway towards Sydney. Turn off at the Illawarra Highway and follow the signs to Moss Vale then Wollongong, Fitzroy Falls and Nowra. Kangaroo Valley is 18k from Fitzroy Falls and Little Pig Creek is 2k on the other side of the village on the right.
